I love crows. I love the way they walk, stride, hop, the whisper of wings when they take off.
There are quite a few crows in our local museum gardens. Especially on hot days they sometimes come to the pool for a drink of water, sometimes for a dip.
This year's spring flowers around the pond were especially wonderful, tulips, hyacynths, narcissus and forget-me-nots, amazing in all stages of bloom and decay, reflected in the pool.
When crows flew in, strutting along the side of the pool, mirrored in the water amids a sea of flowers it was perfection.
The title was inspired by a friend of mine saying my crow print reminded them of William Morris' 'Brother Rabbit'. Unfamiliar with this particular design I looked it up and saw the connection. Brother Crow it was.
